ABOUT THIS JOB

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves overseeing hardware, software, networks, and cloud services while providing technical support to users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system and network administration, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and track company IT assets, ensuring inventory accuracy and proper lifecycle management.

  • Set up and configure accounts, devices, and access permissions for new hires to ensure a seamless start.

  • Provide first-line IT support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Assist in maintaining office IT infrastructure, ensuring security, updates, and efficiency.

  • Keep records of IT processes, troubleshooting guides, and asset allocations for smooth operations.

  • Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to support IT projects and business objectives.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in System Administration, or related role.

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols, and services, including DHCP, DNS, HTTP, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi configuration and troubleshooting, switching and basic routing, TCP/IP protocol stack, subnetting, VLANs, network security best practices, and network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

  • Hands-on experience with macOS, Linux and Windows operating systems.

  • Experience with device management tools (MDM, JAMF).

  • Familiarity with managing OKTA, Google Workspace, Office 365, and similar cloud-based tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist non-technical users.

  • Experience with asset management and procurement processes, along with understanding of end-user hardware.

  • Familiarity with IT security best practices, endpoint security, and compliance requirements.

We strongly prefer candidates who demonstrate eagerness to learn, grow professionally, and expand their technical expertise. Preference will be given to individuals with prior experience or familiarity in areas such as network hardware, server administration, server and network hardware deployment, virtualization technologies (particularly KVM), containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, and infrastructure deployment automation tools (e.g., Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible). Additionally, candidates familiar with software development processes, CI/CD methodologies, and monitoring/logging tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti, Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, or SigNoz are highly desirable.
